VICA’s Education Committee examines issues affecting early education, K–12 schools, higher education, and workforce-development programs across the Los Angeles region. The committee focuses on state budgeting and policy affecting institutions including LAUSD, the CSU and UC systems, and the Los Angeles Community College District, as well as regulations affecting private postsecondary institutions. 

Meetings connect members with education experts, advocates, administrators, and public officials to discuss timely issues such as education funding, workforce pipelines, curriculum policy, and opportunities to strengthen alignment between schools and employers.
